Activity: flagged content and the timeline

How to read a flagged row, what the match percentage means, what the row menu can do, and what is and is not kept.

Two tabs

Flagged content lists everything Kellet blocked or flagged, newest first. Timeline lists what happened to your devices: coming online and going offline, locks and unlocks, files quarantined and restored, and sites visited and blocked.

The Live marker means new entries appear as they happen, without refreshing. If it says Not live, the page is reconnecting and will catch up by itself.

Finding something

  • Search.Matches the address, the content, the process name or the detected category.
  • Violation type.Blocked domain, Blocked URL, Blocked keyword, Flagged on screen, Flagged on a phone’s screen, Flagged file, and browsing Kellet could not see.
  • Device. One device, or all of them. Each device’s own page has an Activity tab that is already filtered.

Reading a flagged row

  • The headingis the page you were on. The line under it is the exact address that was blocked, such as an image on that page, when the two differ.
  • The chipsays where it came from: Visual for something seen on screen, Image for a blocked image on a web page, File scan for a saved file.
  • The tagsname what was detected, such as Explicit, Nudity, Revealing or Hosiery. They match the kinds of image you can set on the Rules page.
  • The match percentageis how strongly the picture matched that category. It is not a probability: a clear detection usually scores well above 90%. Web blocks have no score.
  • Image or Frameappears only if you chose to keep a picture with detections. It opens blurred behind Click to view, and covers itself again when you close it.

The row menu

The Timeline tab also shows how many files are in quarantine, with Restore everything. Each file still waits out your cooldown.

  • Block this page, or block the site.Adds it to Always blocked on the Rules page, straight away.
  • Restore. For a quarantined file. Restoring is a loosening, so it waits out your rule cooldown; while it waits, Call off the restore keeps the file in quarantine.
  • Delete for good. For a quarantined file. The device deletes it the next time it checks in. Kellet keeps no copy, so this cannot be undone.

What is kept

Every flagged event is recorded: what, where, when and on which device. Pictures are not. Kellet keeps no image unless you turn on Capture a frame on a block, Show the blocked image or Save a thumbnail of flagged files on the Rules page, and all three are off unless you do. Any picture you do keep is blurred, and only you can open it.

Everything in Activity, Web history and App usage is kept for as long as your account is open, on every plan. Only pictures expire: any picture kept with a detection is deleted after 30 days, and the entry itself stays.

The number beside Activity

The count beside Activity in the left-hand menu is how many items have been flagged since you last opened Activity for all devices. Opening it clears the count.

Common questions

Something was flagged that should not have been.
Check the match percentage first: a low score is a borderline call. If one kind of image keeps catching the wrong thing, set that row to Monitor on the Rules page, or lower the sensitivity to Standard.
Can my partner see the pictures?
No. A partner sees the entry, never the picture.
