The bell
The bell in the top bar shows how many notifications you have not read, and opens the latest. Mark all read clears the count; the tick on a row marks just that one. View all notifications opens your full history, with All and Unread tabs.
How Kellet reaches you
Open Notification settings from the account menu, top right.
- Email, sent to your account’s address. On to begin with.
- Push,to your phone through the Kellet app. On to begin with.
What Kellet tells you about
- Sites and apps blocked.Off to begin with, because on a busy day it is a lot of email. Everything blocked is in Activity either way.
- Devices locked or unlocked. On to begin with.
- Unlock requests. When Let me through opens a blocked page. On to begin with.
- Escalations triggered.A device locked or its internet cut after repeated detections. On to begin with.
- Partner changes.A partner accepting, stepping back, or changing one of your settings. On to begin with.
The blocked content summary
Kellet does not send a message every time something is blocked. Instead you get a summary: how many items Kellet blocked, the top category, and the last five things it blocked, with the device and the time. Any other news from the period, such as a device going quiet, is rounded up underneath. It never includes pictures.
Choose Daily, Weekly or Off under Blocked content summary in Notification settings. A daily summary arrives around 7am in your time zone and covers the day before; a weekly one arrives on Monday morning and covers the week before. Nothing is sent for a period when nothing was blocked. If push is on, the Kellet app also shows the headline.
Copies for your partners
Send partners a copy of my alerts passes your alerts, such as a device being locked, on to your accountability partners. It is on to begin with. Each partner’s own settings decide whether a copy reaches them by email or on their phone.
Separately, each partner gets their own blocked content summary about you, daily or weekly as they choose, whatever this switch says. They can see your activity in Kellet anyway; the summary only decides how often they are reminded to look.
What is always sent
A few things have no switch, because they are about the account rather than your activity: billing, a device being removed, and a device that stops reporting for 24 hours or comes back. Partners always hear about devices being removed or going quiet.
When you ask your partners to end a device lock early, every partner is told straight away, whatever Send partners a copy of my alerts says, because only a partner can answer. Their answer comes back to you, and only to you.
Notification settings stay available even if your plan has ended, so you can always turn alerts off.
